When visiting the Grove City Welcome Center and Museum, take time to look at the old wooden suitcase on the running board of the Model T.

The suitcase was found by H. G. Weidinger inside the wall of a house in Shadeville that was being torn down in the 1930’s.  The suitcase contained personal correspondence, Civil War letters and business papers from the Seeds family dating to 1856 through 1886.

Robert Seeds, who settled in Shadeville with his family, operated a flour mill there for many years.
